During the beginning stages of my employment with Telford College i would shadow the contracts coordinator and make sure that i was picking up the knowledge and processes that he would use. For example, most of the days during the week i would learn from him and then the other half i would pick up with other colleagues picking up, organisational skills, communication skills, and time-management and listening skills.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I recieve a visit from my assessor every 4-6 weeks on average. In those weeks i am required to achieve a set of action plans which were devised from the appointment before. Every meeting i have with my assessor i am reviewed on things i have achieved, yet to achieve, and outstanding. I also have weekly 1-to-1's with my manager, she reviews how i am progressing, asks if i have any concerns, if there is anything i am struggling with and tries to find a solution. I find these weekly 1-to-1 sessions with my manager very helpful.
