  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Really enjoy working for Arup. The team and working environment makes me feel comfortable and no less important than anyone else. I like the responsibility that I am given despite it only being the start of my career and how I'm treated equally to everyone.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Very well structured. I know what I've got to do and by when and have regular catch ups with my mentor. Everyone around me willing to help.

    10/10

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • As much as I need. Mentor and manager always around to help as well as HR team and regional apprentice champion.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Regular catch ups are useful but don't always find them very good at answering the question that I ask. Don't always seem to check work thoroughly and sometimes have to ask numerous times for feedback.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Some of what I learn at college can be applied to what I do at work. I find the college work easier because of experience at work, not the other way around. NVQ doesn't seem well structured, makes more unnecessary work (personal statements).

    6/10

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Lots of sports groups, talks, monthly socials.

    10/10

  • 9a. Would you recommend Arup to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Really nice place to work. Everyone is willing to help and do what they can to help me with anything I might need. Make me feel comfortable despite being quite a bit younger than a lot of my team. Exciting projects and loads of amazing experiences.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Arup?
  • Such a wide range of projects that you'll never get bored of something. Application process and interviews are relaxed and make you feel very comfortable and at ease. Kept in the loop throughout the whole process
