  • My role involves dealing with clients and customers on a daily basis, pricing and surveying jobs, creating method statements for works as well as health and safety paperwork to accompany them.

  • Working individually and working in a team have improved. My technical knowledge has also improved.

  • The programme has been quite easy to follow and the university sessions were fairly enjoyable.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme has been fairly straightforward, I had university sessions once every 2 weeks for 6 months, this led up to an exam. After the exam, the remainder of the course is purely assignment/coursework based.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I've been left to my own devices in terms of support for the course, however I have not really needed much support as of yet.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I have a 121 visit from my training provider every 4-6 weeks, during the visit we'll go over outstanding assignments and upload evidence to support parts of the qualifications.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It gives good guidance to relevant parts of my works, such as communication, planning and organising.

  • Not that I'm aware of.

  • Yes

  • You get a lot of benefits working for SSE and generally your job security is solid.

  • Be enthusiastic, ask questions and show strong intentions to develop and learn.
