My role involves supporting lawyers day to day. This can be with client work like helping out with completions or client meetings, or more administrative tasks like filing or creating a bible for the transaction.
Quite a few skills. My favourite has been the communication between clients and the lawyers. Time recording and management is also key, understanding how a law firm makes money is fascinating.
Although slightly subjective, massively. I cannot imagine doing anything else or in any other firm.
Very well. The entire programme flows very well and the support you get along the way is amazing.
My supervisor is very supportive and encourages me to challenge myself everyday. On top of that, our apprentice champions are great support when it comes to deciding your next seat and any other queries you may have about life as a lawyer.
BPP is okay. It provides an average service, with minimum interaction.
Not much, all the sessions are very long-winded and repetitive. I go away having learnt nothing!
Lot's! I am part of the netball team and I do yoga every Friday lunchtime. Its a buzzing firm to be in - full of culture and delicious food.
Yes
The support and encouragement you get is great. You are challenged but never thrown into the deep end - quite rare with law firms!
Be genuinely interested in what the firm does. Our sectors are diverse and fascinating. An honest interest in the work we do can help massively when it comes to difficult days or concepts in law.
