1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

As the most junior team member, the jobs that I was asked to do required the least amount of judgement. I was assigned EGAs from various parts of the audit file and also helped in other areas where required.

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learned a lot of skills throughout my placement both in relation to audit and work life in general. The placement has helped actualise and understand the theory that we were taught at university, which should be helpful when it comes to exams.

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The programme was challenging but enjoyable - there were times where the hours were rough and I felt a little drained, but at the same time I think that this is when I learned the most.

4. How well organised/structured is your programme?

the programme is very well structured: the module taught at the start of the academic year is very relevant to the work performed during placement. This, in turn, means that we have both the knowledge and practical understanding to be able to take th exam in January.

5. How much support do you receive from your employer?

My career coach was instrumentally helpful throughout my placement and as well as this I felt that I could comfortably contact our programme leads, both from uni and work.

6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

We receive plenty of support.

7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Th qualification will allow me to have a more deepened understanding of the work to perform and allows for more responsibility to be taken up.

8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are a few social activities, but due to the nature of the work, it hasn't really been possible to get involved (due to late working hours, etc.)

PwC offer a range of support firm-wide and there are many people who are available to help you or to speak to you when required.

10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?

- Take advantage of the fact there is a very wide variety of clients, and request to work on those you'd be interested in - Get to know as many people as possible as this will not only be helpful if you are stuck at work, but will also make you feel more comfortable in the workplace.
