  • My main task in sainsbury's is to maintain stuff quality and usually check which kind of product need to labelled mark with sales to make sure it will not out of date. we also need to help cashier to make sure their work goes well due to their highly work rhythm.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • yes, I learned quite a lot useful skills not only include how to deal questions which asked by customers and how to deal with emergency things by immediately reaction, It also let me know we need to work as a team and solve the potential problem before it will happen.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I quite enjoy this programme as it really help me to improve my skills and make more friends, I trust I improve my interpersonal skill by working with partner and also we always organise birthday party for our staff and other team building activities, so I quite enjoy my work in here

  • I believe my programmed get well organised as we not only need to work together but also require us to work as an individual in many cases, so we can help each other and also need to have a good behaviour with myself to make sure we can achieve our goal.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer really help me quite a lot, Sainsbury's is really take care of our legal right like holiday pay and hourly salary will be received on time. They also organise many interesting activities to let us quite enjoy our work in here for example like organise pub night.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • When I came here first time I really struggled with my work, but during that time my training provider really help me quite a lot to make sure that I become a suitable person for my position, this process is a bit hard but after achieved feel quite proud of myself.

  • They really quite me a lot, when I came to Sainsbury's at the first time my training provider help me to get familiar with each process and tell me my task, she also help me to get familiar with my workmates and use their experience to help me improve quickly.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes, as I introduced before, we organize many interesting activities and feel free to go or enjoy leisure time at home. Our team often organize pub night each Friday night and day trip once a month to closing city near Manchester, we only need to pay membership standard fee which is lower than real pay.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Because it really a good place to earn experience and improve your ability to contact with customer, other teammates and team leader, it also can help you quite a lot in how to deal problems calmly and efficiently. You can also recognise and realise the reality of our customer and society.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Sainsbury's?
  • Behave confidently, demonstrate your skills and show you are good at time managing skill as company really require you to show your rapid work-style with as less mistake as possible. You also need to show that you have relevant work experience to make sure you are a suitable person who can work well
