  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Day to day my role involves talking to customers and dealers. We check customers documents to ensure they can afford the finance offered. The role is mainly admin.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt skills as part of the apprenticeship and work. We completed the Knowledge skills and behaviours and are given lots of opportunity to ensure that we are able to display these and evidence effectively.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy the degree and feel it will benefit me in the future. The work given from university doesn't impact my work-life balance and therefore it is something i enjoy.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The modules are well structured and assignments are clear. The feedback we have relayed to the university is in regards to the work-based project and what needed to be completed for this as in year 1 it seemed to change a lot. Overall the course is structured.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I have received ample support in both the degree and work since I started the apprenticeship. I am able to book time out of the work to complete things for the course and they have given me many opportunities to succeed

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I have received lots of support from the University. They always offer 1 to 1 tutorial sessions and have workshops that are promoted. The course tutors are very knowledgeable and utilise guest speakers and other recourses to aid our learning.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I have been able to learn lots through the course that has helped me in my role. Such as structuring projects and different methods of managing and leading people.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • I have not been offered any networking events. The only sports events offered was something that a group of colleagues organised outside of work and this wasn't promoted by work.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • The organisation have provided me with many opportunities to succeed. I have had exposure to many departments and areas of the business that I know others on the course with other employers haven't had.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to First Response Finance Limited?
  • Be honest in your approach and application. The organisation speaks of its company and core values a lot so research these and how you embody them. Be genuinly interested in working for the organisation and bettering yourself and the company.
