Stock and cash responsibility, H&S management and adherence to company policies, team management all aspects, customer care and day to day shift management.

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes I have learnt a lot about BoH office systems, I really enjoy the compliance aspect of the business and it’s taught me how much an impact great people skills make for the business

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Massively really engaging and I feel the learning is if a real benefit as my first course work has massively helped my H&S knowledge along with company policies!

4. How well organised/structured is your programme?

It’s really great with lots of support. My trainer and Andrew Schum are really helpful as well

5. How much support do you receive from your employer?

A lot on an in-house level my manager has been really good with advice and support. The company itself are brilliant for allowing people to do this

As before a lot via feedback and one to ones.

7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It helps me understand the impact I can have on my team and through knowledge. It empowers me to perform the best I can

8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I would say the role leaves me time poor so I want to spend time with my family but I have done charity walks which were great

Great company and great culture with excellent opportunities, I have recommended it and have someone starting soon.

10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Greene King?

That they will work hard but they can make a huge impact on the business and have amazing opportunities if they want these. Have a good work ethic and you’ll go far!
