1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

10/10

As an apprentice I am moving around the company into different departments each 6 weeks to learn what the job roles involve. I have been working from practical jobs to working in the office. Doing this I am building my knowledge on how the company runs and what I enjoy most.

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

10/10

Throughout the apprenticeship I have learnt many new skill from one I have never even heard of. The company houses so many job roles that you are always learning when your working. At B-TEC I am currently learning new subjects which include relevant and interesting content of which I can take to work to become more efficient.

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

10/10

The programme consists of so many role and job that you can never be bored. My supervisor is always feeding me work to keep involved in the latest projects. My experience so far has been great, learning new skills and more about the company. My BTEC involves practical activities as well as presentations to involve the whole class in the lesson.

4. How well organised/structured is your programme?

10/10

From the start of the programme a timetable was given out of how the year will be structured and a description of each job to give the apprentices an understanding of what is required and involved. If a job is disliked, the supervisor is willing to talk and willing to improve your experience as much as possible.

5. How much support do you receive from your employer?

10/10

My employer is very supportive in everything the apprentices to and is always willing to chat if you have any concerns. My employer always tries to push the apprentices further to learn new skills and become a successful engineer. Their support help us achieve more than we expected and overcome new milestones.

6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

10/10

Each trainer at our college is always willing to support their student the whole way through the year. They will aim to get the best out of each student and always look out for students if they have any concerns about the course of away from college. Each trainer is willing to talk about anything which may worry or distress you.

7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

10/10

Everything that is taught by the training provider is linked to work based roles. This sort of training helps to contrast smoothly into real job back out our working company. We get taught about subject relevant to our job roles and to the company so that we become more efficient at our role before we start.

8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

10/10

Our company has got their apprentices involved in a handful of activities to help the apprentices get to know each other and gain trust and experience with one another. These sort of activities help us as apprentices work together more effectively after learning how everyone behaves and acts. As well as learning teamwork we also overcame activities which were over our comfort zones.
