  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role is a shift manager, My day-to-day role is to run shifts making sure all staff are following correct produces delivering QS&C to all of our customers. my role is also to motor our sales and labour whilst in shift. also to motor the safety of all our customers and crew

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt management skills on how to run an effective shift and to use all tools available. cash handing and sensitive complete handling. skills i have developed in my role are communicator skills, proactive think, problem solving. customer complete handling, corrective coaching, be here now, and providing constrictive feedback.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy most about the program is it helps me look at the bigger pitcher of what it takes to keep a business running, form customer loyalty from our customer service all the way to our company visions, values and targets. it also allows me to progress my career further within the company

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I believe my program is well organised and structured as I have meeting with my tutor every 4-6 weeks to discuss the work that has been set and what i need to work on. also it gives me additional training to learn new activities/work with in my job roll to help me progress mt carer.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I revive a lot of support from my employer to make sure i am learning the tasks i need to be learning to help me with my course and to help me within my job role, They also allow me time within work to complete any work that as been given to me that i am unable to compleate in my own time

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • i receive a lot of support when need as I have meeting with my tutor every 4-6 weeks to discuss the work that has been set and what i need to work on. if there is also work that i dont understand i can email my trainer getting the help and to understand the work that is set. I have also been given a mento within my company to help me also.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • i believe that my qualification helps me perform better within my rolw as it help me work on the areas i need to work on to make a better running shift and helps me deliver better customer services. also it helps me look at the big pitcher giving me more understatement of the business.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • we hold charity events to raise money for our charity RMHC and we also hold quarterly crew events for our crew for all their har.

  • Yes

  • McDonald is a great place to work, every day is so different and there are many different challenges to over come whilst working. you can build your self up in the company and there are so many great benefits like our employee discount sceam, company lottery, charity events


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to McDonald's?
  • to always be positive and have a can do attitude as sometime it can be stressful. be yourself and have fun whilst working. be a great team player as its team effort for us to be abel to delivery the services we know we can deliver
