My role involves doing health and safety, and techincal work, this could be things like checking blanks, ensuring health and safety policies are be up held, making sure the systems are up to date
yes i have learnt about how to communicate in a team in a working environment and developed good knowledge about the differ areas in health and safety
I haven't enjoyed the program as there was a big mix up in what course i was put on for the first year, and the second year amount of collage work was very light
It was promised to be quite structured at the start but the structure changed after the first 3 months and there hasn't been one since
When i had mental health issues the company tried to support me the best they could, but with work related issues they haven't helped at all they said they would do things they haven't done
In the first year the support was okay, they came in in fixed dates and supported us, the second year we rarely heard from them
The theory side of the training was good, it helped me understand the different terms and phrases that we use often at work.
Yes there are a good networking events that are on offer the issue is the events are in south wales and from the midlands is very difficult to attend
No
The course and structure was very poor, and for them reasons and a couple of other reasons in my time here overall i haven't enjoyed it, however there have been bits i have liked like meeting the people and working the teams i have worked in.
Try it out, don't stick to one area from the start you might love another, when you do like an area try and stay there, if at any point you feel something isn't right speak up and keep going till it is right
