  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role involves producing regular reports for my project and sharing them with the key stakeholders in the team. I interact daily with the client as well as the managers from my project. I have been on the same project for 3 months now and my responsibility is to handle the delivery of the platform to the client.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I am doing a professional qualification which is considered as a level 6 qualification. We have a lot of internal training courses that you can book but you can only really do them inbetween projects as client work is a priority. I also try to do some online courses in my spare time.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy the work that I do although at times it does get repetitive. The team and the clients are nice and are supportive of my studies. I like the company culture as everyone feels at the same level despite the natural company hierarchy which makes everyone feel equal.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • When I first joined we had a great introduction into the company structure and culture even though it felt tiring despite the fact that the days we are normal working hours such as 9 to 5. There is plenty of support available from peers to your managers who are very helpful.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My managers and peers are always available for support and advice and if the studies ever get too much they let me have time off, even if it is last minute. I feel like the general attitude is to prioritise the studies which is good and I feel like all companies should move towards that attitude

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I do not have as much communication with my training provider and it is partly because I feel the distance between us and them and when I did have queries I did not find it that they were as helpful and it is easier to just ask my peers or someone else.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel like what I study is directly is reflected in the work that I do on a daily basis such as the context of the report that I run. It really does help when you know the theory and gives you a bigger picture of why we do things.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • We have a social club at work where we do regular events such as team dinners and events like ping pong. It is a great opportunity to meet people from across the business and network with them. I also volunteer at work events from time to time when opportunities arise.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Deloitte to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I would recommend it as it is a great place to work. It can be hard in the beginning but once you get a general idea of what is going on it becomes quite easy. The people around are really helpful so you will never feel like you are left to do a task on your own.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Deloitte?
  • The most important thing is to decide that it is what you really want to do. We had a few people leave because they were unhappy and it just felt like they wasted time here. There is a lot of information and reviews available online. Also prepare well for the interview, do research
