  • Management of a team of Finance staff that mange financial reporting, financial planning and analytics and commercial support for out claims business.

  • Management skills including motivation, delegation, negotiation, difficult conversations. Managing business relationships successfully. Project management skills.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoyed the training and on the job part of the programme. The admin including the creation of a portfolio was not for me.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The training provider was poor, however we had an excellent skills coach that made everything so much easier and helped us find our way through. Support from inside the business was also good.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Quite a lot. However I think it's probably unrealistic to expect employees of our level to spend 20% of our time on the apprenticeship. As such we had to spend quite a lot of our own time covering apprenticeship work.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Our skills coach was excellent, although towards the end of the programme had far too many apprentices meaning trying to get hold of her time was difficult.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Mostly confidence in managing and also providing the skills and tools to confidently manage my staff.

  • Probably, although I don't take part in any myself

  • Yes

  • Great, friendly place to work. So many opportunities and new challenges, no time to be bored!
