The role involves getting the engineering drawing analysing the drawing and then fabricating the beam to the correct specification this can involve tacking, cutting, drilling and welding the beam.
Since working at William hare it has helped me learn lots of new skills that I can use in and also some outside of work as I didn't know anything about engineering before I started.
I enjoy the programme as I get to learn new skills on a day to day basis.
The programme is structured okay but there are lots of things that can improve to make it a much better course.
We do receive some support but we could do with some more to help from time to time to help us do our nvq work.
our training provider on a hole has been awful since we started there going through lots of different tutors all which haven't been very useful to us and some really don't know what they are doing. I would not advise apprentices to go there.
it has helped a little but I learn lots more a work then when I am at college.
not many but there is some as they play five a side once a week but that's all I can think of
Yes
So far it hasn't been a bad place to work and the working environment has been okay.
good luck
