  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Making and receiving phone callings, helping applicants fill in forms, updating files, basic admin work.

    3/10

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I've learned how to navigate job searchs sites for recruitment and honed my communication skills. I definitely am more confident in that area. With the Digital Marketing I learnt a lot. For example, creating campaigns, how to increase ROI etc.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Did not enjoy at all. The only aspects I liked was when I had to get creative and create content but that's about it. Unfortunately I was placed with a very boring employer in the security sector which I absolutely hated.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Unbelievably bad. I was always left questioning a lot of things like when I'd be expected to finish. Clarification on a lot of things were not 100%.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I'd say about 5% when I started the apprenteship work. But that lasted 5 minutes and they never asked afterwards how things were going. From my standpoint they simply didn't care I was just there to do admin.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Had a lot of exceptional support from the training provider. They are adamant on making sure their apprentices succeed and are doing well at work and outside of work. But communication often lacked so it was stressful at times and anxiety-inducing.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Had no effect.

    1/10

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Nope.

    1/10

  • 9a. Would you recommend Star Lite Jobs to a friend?
  • No

  • 9b. Why?
  • Very mundane work+environment. Communication is terrible and there is no chance of progression or enhancing skills.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Star Lite Jobs?
  • It's good place to gain and hone basic admin skills. But there's no sense of community, leadership and even organisation here. Wouldn't recommend applying here in general, can take a toll on mental health.
