  • Preparing for service and functions, doing ordering , managing kitchen team, stock and food wastage control,getting paperwork done, updating function sheets, improving kitchen productivity, helping in development of team members, communication with other departments to make sure business runs smoothly, resolving conflicts, improving menus, supporting kitchen team as well as other departments

  • Managing team members to get work done while making them filling appreciated and as a part of a team , legislations and procedures, organisation of work load, I have learned about budgets, profits and our targets and best way of reaching them,getting better picture of hotels vision, resolving issues with staff and learned best way in dealing with customers complaints,

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I learned a lot of new things that I can use in every day work. It was a lot of work but at the end it definitely was worth doing it and learning new skills that I can use everywhere is priceless. This program is great stepping stone for anybody who wants to develop them self further in this industry.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It was really good.Flexible dates with exams and lessons since you can choose them when it suits you and your needs ( depending of you rota or you time to study) Great support from you designed trainers.They are always available if help is needed. Depending on you course which you choose you will get exactly lessons and activities that are closely related to that course.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • In short 100%. Always available for any questions I had.Going even further and showing me how can we implement things that I learned to make things more clear for me. Flexible with rota( always make time for my meeting and exams) Giving me honest opinion, suggestions on my project and activities that I was doing.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Again 100% He was full of understanding if I didn’t had time to prep for exam or presentation giving me extra time. While doing activities, presentation and projects I could always show them before I submit it to see what are they thinking, is it good or I did I missed something.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • 80% of things that I learned I can use in every day work.Specially managing team members, how to motivate and develop them better, how to be more productive, understanding and seeing bigger picture,better understanding of our targets and best way of reaching them,and great help for future course

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • One I year we have celebration of service week where for 7 days every day we are doing something special for all employees that include food trucks, ice cream vans, sports day... We also organise team buildings where we usually go on karting, paintball or some other great outdoor activities.

  • Hard work pays off. People here appreciate you contribution in well being of business.Be genuine and sincere.Be open in you needs and targets what do you want from a job and where do you see you self in future.They can help you in you development if that is what you want.
