  • My role includes stacking the shelves and preparing the store making sure it is clean and tidy before shop opening and making sure all stock is level an up together. I also help customers with any queries giving the best customer service at all times meeting new people all the time

  • I have got better at my customer service skills and being friendly with all kinds of customers i have learnt how to stay polite and helpful even when customers are disappointed or dissatisfied with our service so I there for provide alternatives and try my best to keep them pleased

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • My programme is really easy and fun I find it enjoyable I would recommend if you want to get better at customer service style role jobs and getting a good foot in the door at a growing company with a lot and wide range to offer. It’s also good how they look after their staff

  • My programme is really well structured and has a good set up giving me a good opportunities to get good qualifications and grow my knowledge as well as working towards a full time career with good extras and a good place to work. I also think I have enough time to complete everything

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My support is really good as the company try their best to support me and give me a good home life/ work life balance making sure I do not get stressed and enjoy my life outside of work. I enjoy the range of shift patterns and the ability to be able to work flexible

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I have a good amount of support with the amount of time I get for my studies as well as extended deadlines if I ever needed them. I also feel like I can ask any questions if I ever need to and a lot of feedback is given to help me progress

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My qualification boosts up my knowledge and understanding on how things work and also gives me a better way of understanding different types of customers and how to deal with certain situations and working in busy environment under pressure. I also have got better at working with others and working hard

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • We do not really have many extra activities outside of work. We all work different times and have different things going on in our life’s outside of work. It would be nice to sometimes have company events where we can all get dressed up smart and have a couple drinks together

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • It is a really good company to work for that really look after every one that works there. I feel that we have a lot of time to practice our jobs and get better without the pressure from our manager stressing us. It is a laid back environment with a good bunch of staff


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Aldi?
  • Aldi like to see friendly people that are motivated at delivery of the best customer service. I feel like they like your be polite and honest as well as hard working. When applying it is good to mention any experience no matter how little or simple you may think it is
