  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Empower clients to turn information into action by gathering, analyzing and modelling client data which enables smarter decision making. Use a broad set of analytical tools and techniques to develop quantitative and qualitative business insights. Work with partners as necessary to integrate systems and data quickly and effectively, regardless of technical challenges or business environments.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • During my time employed at Accenture I have managed to build up my professional skills such as programming with multiple languages, big data analytics, visualisation and interpretation through work experience and day-to-day practise. There have also been multiple internal training courses such as Agile Delivery or MEAN Stack Development with the addition of PluralSight for almost unlimited amounts of training resources.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have massively enjoyed my programme, taking opportunities to build up professional skills and qualifications whilst networking to meet phenomenal and fantastic employees, gaining experience in a multitude of different areas and roles. Additionally, by working in teams I have managed to make some great friends that make the working experience even more enjoyable massively exceeding any expectations I had.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is fantastically organised, there has never been a time where the organisation has become an issue. Introductions to the company/programme were handled and completed successfully, training and support are phenominal, task delegation and team hierarchy are fantastic and the 'Career Counselling'/mentoring system is second to none.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Support is easily accessible whenever required and always fast and easy. Guidance and attitude towards supporting myself and other apprentices are great, from Managers to Mentors and even the Human Resource Team. Without even needing to ask support is already there for you, with those around you constantly looking out to make sure you are getting along well.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My training provider has given me all the support I have needed, similar to the employer without even needing to ask the support is already there to ensure that all of the apprentices including myself are on track and getting along well. There has never come a time when I have thought the support was not up to scratch.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Almost everything within my qualification relates and transfers to my day to day role. From the Programme and Project Management to more technical skills such as Application Development and Maintenance. With all of these skills being transferrable not only does my qualification help me perform better in my role, but my role also helps me achieve my qualification.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are always extra-curricular activities to get involved in at Accenture, from social events all the way to sporting teams such as football/rugby teams and the cycling community. This not only allows a huge opportunity to start networking with other professionals but also helps employees form friendships with each other.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Purely for the massively positive experiences I have had, I feel that for anyone interested in having a career in IT or Consultancy that Accenture is the perfect place for them. I have had absolutely no problems with Accenture and feel that my experiences have always been great and successful.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Accenture?
  • Accenture's apprenticeship programme is built up for anyone interested in a career in IT, whether you already have a rather large amount of technical knowledge and experience or if you have none whatsoever. The only tips I could give would be to ensure that you are professional and punctual.
