  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am a support engineer of the Atlassian tools where i support around 4000 users on a daily basis with functionality issues and delving into the servers that they sit on to make sure that are maintained and working correctly.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt lots of new skills from technical skills involving servers and network connectivity to be able to maintain and manage them right down to how to communicate effectively. Capgemini are always pushing for you to better yourself as an individual.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy the program as it gives me the chance to learn a real-life job skill when I am in the office and allows me to go home and learn new things that I can bring into work the next day to help me day-to-day.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It is very well organised. We receive emails from Aston university on a regular basis informing us of upcoming work and other things that are going on and we have access to all of the lectures for every module and can directly contact a lecturer if we need to.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a lot of support from Capgemini, they are always checking to make sure I am doing ok and often point me in the direction of people I can speak to if I have any queries.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive 3 hours a week of live tutorials where I can ask any questions that i might have about a module. This is really good as it ensures that I am always up to date with my work.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It has given me the technical understanding that I have been able to use at work so that I can get involved with some of the more technical tasks so that I can understand everything that is going on.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There is always social events for apprentices and graduates and they are always pushing for you to atten these events so that you can meet new people and branch out into the wider Capgemini.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Capgemini to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • It is a great place to work that always puts the individual first. They are always pushing you to better yourself so that you can push yourself to work better and smarter and in turn complete better work.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Capgemini?
  • I would say spend plenty of time on your application and do some research on the company to make sure that you know what they stand for and what they are trying to achieve in the industry. Get to know the core values as they are the biggest part here.
