  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • As a whole, I work closely with my team to take care of the salaries and benefits that employees within the company receive. I am able to communicate with people within the business, as well as outside of the business on a regular basis. Daily tasks can include answering employee queries, gathering data, and providing salary ranges for various roles.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Whilst being at Warner Bros., I feel that I have improved on my communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as learnt how to prioritise tasks during busy periods. This has been, and will always be, a key skill in the place of work. I also feel that I have developed my ability to ask questions to further my understanding and knowledge, without fear that I am asking a silly question - I have learnt that no question is a silly question!

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It is a very organised programme. I have been told there will be regular visits from the apprenticeship provider and I am able to allocate certain hours/days in the week to focus on the work for the qualification. Having a structure works really well and allows me to be able to set out my deadlines and targets well.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I have only just begun my qualification, so I have only had one visit at this moment in time. On my induction, my tutor provided me lots of beneficial information and answered all the questions I had. It was made clear that I am more than welcome to ask for help and project my thoughts if I need to.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I think that the qualification will help me to perform well in my role, as the modules/units are very relevant throughout. It will allow to go into different situations/projects with more than one point of view as I am able to explore options/solutions thorough the qualification. I think it will also allow me to expand my knowledge as I learn more through the qualification.

  • 9a. Would you recommend WarnerMedia to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • It is a great company to work for and the apprenticeship programme is very supportive and well established. I haven't been here long but I have already learnt so much. It's great that whilst enjoying my job, I am also able to work towards a qualification. I didn't expect to have such responsibility at this stage, but I am grateful for this as it has taught me a lot. There are so many great opportunities here on a regular basis, that whilst developing my knowledge and career, I am also developing as an individual.
