  • My job is to carry out planned maintenance and breakdowns. i also get involved into projects where possible, and get involved on the lines by working with the line crews to help further gain an understanding of the operation of the production lines

  • During my time as an apprentice i have picked up many skills especially practically using different hand skills. I have also learned about electrical principles as well as mechanical the skills i am learning are very broad in the industry.

  • I really enjoy my programme as i am learning a trade that i really enjoy. This makes learning more enjoyable.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programme is pretty structured with college in the first year. College in the second year for one day. Currently in the third year i am learning electrical modules which helps at work

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Any issues or problems i have at home or at work my employer there to talk and support. I also receive a lot of praise from my employer

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Currently i have monthly visits from my training provider to discuss different work i have been doing at the workplace, and objectives to hit for next month to further progress with completing my NVQ

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My qualification through my training provider helped me in my job role as it improved my hand skills, as well as learning the theory to the trade it helps you gain a better understanding of what goes wrong in the factory and why it goes wrong.

  • Yes my site has many different activities such as charity events, fund raisers and many more to get involved with outside of work time
