  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Working on the Purchase Ledger, dealing with outgoing payments to Suppliers in all currencies except USD. Dealing with all supplier queries and ensuring that the Purchase Ledger is kept up to date with information. Answering the phone and any emails promptly that will arise on a daily and weekly basis.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Currently studying towards my level 4 in AAT (Professional Certificate). Have learnt to read company financial statements. Plan a company cash flow. Plan the timing of payments to suit our needs as best as possible. Learnt about how budgeting works within a limited company, and how the cost the products that we sell.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have found the apprenticeship programme that i am on very interesting and extremely useful.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The structure that i have been given from First Intuition has been extremely useful and well thought out. It is easy to follow and makes it an enjoyable course. If there is anything that i am unsure about, they are always happy to help.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer fully supports all of the my the time and effort that i need to put in to my exams and studying. If i have to attend lectures, study lessons, exams or need time off to learn something new for my apprenticeship, they are more than happy to accommodate for this.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My training provider offers me tonnes of support. The package that they have put together for me has reassured me that this was the right decision. If i have any questions about my apprenticeship or my studying, they have made it very easy for me to have access to the material and coaches/tutors for me to obtain the correct help needed.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I can easily transfer any skills that i have learnt in my apprenticeship in to my daily and weekly work. The courses that i am studying are relevant to all of the activities that i am required to take out.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Our company regularly hosts different team building exercises that we are able to attend, and there are various groups that have setup sporting activities such as golf and football evenings.

  • Yes

  • Everyone is happy to help you to the best of their ability. Always approachable, and is always understanding if there is anything further that you need.

  • Be honest and be yourself. Don't be afraid to ask anything as they are always open to new ideas.
