  • Attending the team meeting and set work load for the day. Reply to emails for internal and external stakeholders. Setting up new lines on the system. Update any issues on setting up with the team. Communicating with dedicated team to solve setting issues. Created and update tracker for future issues.

  • Skills developed during my time at work: How to communicate effectively in a business environment. How to plan and actively manage time. How to present in a team meeting or to an individual effectively. Skill required to be an active listener. How to organize work load properly and adapt with change.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • At times pressure could become overwhelming but the important part is the stay sharp. The team is always there to support my work. It is an active business environment with change happening all the time. At the end of the day adapting to the changes and staying focused helped me to enjoy the overall program.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The program that I am in is quite thorough and well structured. It has got element of theoretical studies, hands on experience, external and internal courses to develop my skills. It is then reviewed regularly and feedback is provided to help me understand my progress or if any special care needed.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer is flexible and supports me when I need time off for my studies. Also provides a lot of internal training to develop my skill. There are a good quantity of rich materials available which are related and help me to do my work well; and i can refer back to them whenever I need some help.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My training provider guides me on how to develop my skill required to do my job well. All the training materials that I might need are supplied to me so that I can go through them at my own pace and from my own comfort zone. I can also get help and training customized to my specific requirement.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The qualification helps me to standardize the work i do in day to day basis. It gives an overall view of the work I do and how it is actually contributing to the overall success of the business. Without the qualification it would be difficult to feel the achievement and confidence to challenge if there is an opportunity.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are a good number of extra-curricular activities available to get involved in like team days out, team events, voluntary activities for good cases, social events, sports clubs and networking events. There is the flexibility to even introduce own team building exercises and get involved in others to make it successful.

  • Yes

  • The overall culture in Tesco is quite open and it supports personalized development needs of individuals. So you can gain new skills as well as develop your existing skills to fit different part of the organization. Also at Tesco you are encouraged to venture into different challenging roles to better understand yourself.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Tesco?
  • If you are planning to apply to Tesco, do your homework well. learn about the organisation and the industry it is in. What is the latest and where it is heading. Also practice to present yourself well in different scenarios and how well you can adapt to those situations. Be honest, it will take you a long way.
