1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

9/10

On a daily basis my role includes a range of responsibilities such as taking part in team communication such as daily stand ups and client workshops. My role also includes a large amount of technical work specifically working on custom built solutions on the Salesforce platform. Lastly i also help with deployment and version control systems.

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

10/10

In my time working at Capgemini i have gained a plethora of new skills and developed almost all of my existing technical knowledge for example i have learned the Salesforce platform and other more low level skills relating to this such as Apex and the Lightning platform. In addition to these new skills i have further developed my existing skills with web technologies such as HTML and Javascript.

In addition to these technical skills i have also gained a wide variety of soft skills which continue to have a possessive impact in my day to day working environment and my team.

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

10/10

The degree programme at Capgemini is incredibly enjoyable, i find that the scheme allows you to build positive and long lasting relationships with the people around you. The scheme is also run incredibly well due to a dedicated and passionate team which makes on boarding and the overall experience very fun and enjoyable.

4. How well organised/structured is your programme?

10/10

I believe the programme is incredibly well structured if slightly hard to understand at the beginning. The blend of study and work is perfect for me because it allows me time to keep on top of both of my responsibilities with work and university with relative ease. Despite the initial complexity there is however a good team and support network in place to help if you get stuck.

5. How much support do you receive from your employer?

9/10

Within Capgemini i receive a great level of support if required. Capgemini has a wide range of initiatives in order to help and support with almost any issues including personal and issues relating to mental health. In addition to this technical help and support is has always been available to me if i was to face an issue i can not solve on my own.

6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

10/10

When training towards my degree i have a tremendous amount of support from people both within the business and from Aston university. I also have a monthly skills coach meeting which allows me to discuss any concerns or questions i have in person. There is also a wide network of previous apprentices that can also help at any time which is massively beneficial.

7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

10/10

The degree i am working towards is massively beneficial to my day to day work, this is because not only am i developing a range of technical skills that can be directly applied to my technical role i am also completing soft skill or business oriented units which allow me to communicate and overall perform better in my role.

8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

10/10

Capgemini provides a large amount of curricular activities and opportunities, during the first few weeks of the apprentice scheme there were a wide range of activities planned such as bowling and an adventure day. So far i have not taken advantage of other extra curricular activities however i am curtain i will at some point in the near future.

9a. Would you recommend Capgemini to a friend?

9b. Why?

Capgemini is a company that i would and have recommend to my close friends and family, this is because i feel that it is a positive and beneficial place to work. I have specifically recommend to the apprenticeship scheme to multiple people already and i am curtain i will continue to in the future

10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Capgemini?

Before applying or going to any interviews make sure you do your research into the role and the company, that knowledge is incredibly useful and it will make the application process much easier.
