  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • In my eyes this program has been the best thing i have done with my life to date. collage and school was never really my thing as i struggled with major aspects of it so this apprenticeship really helped me out. Not only did i learn practically but doing so helped me learn theoretically and boosted my ability in collage especially since the collage course is tailored around your job. I've made a lot of friends and colleagues and in my eyes i would choose this route over and over again.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The 4 year cause is very linear in structure and is organised in a way that means your doing as little work at the same time as possible over the years but your still gaining and achieving the same amount. our cause aims for HNC level however once over there is a high chance that diploma level and above can be done.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a high level and amount of support from my employer. my boss always wants to ensure that i'm managing my time well and that i'm achieving everything at a good rate. if problems arise and i need more time with collage work they are more then happy to accommodate for this with allowing me time in work. for some of the more stressful units person tuition is available on request.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel that the qualification has massively helped in making my role at work easy to understand and do. This is because they teach you the basics of how to do you job such as how to using different tooling and machines as well as how to maintain them and keep them in a good safe condition. along with this they give you the knowledge to understand your job and why you do the certain things you do.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • We have a range of groups and independent after work activity that can be found round the work place. It is not uncommon to find groups of people setting up trips and night out. Furthermore work themselves strive to help the community so a minimum of 4 hour community service is asked for from each employee. These community events are all sorted out by work and are regular occurrences. these events could be anything from helping out at schools or even cleaning up castle hill.
