  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • If I am completely honest my programme is not very well organised. I feel like it could be planned out a lot better. For example the plan has changed more than once which has included me working towards assignments that are not relevant to my qualification. I have also found it a little bit disjointed with a few teachers leaving the college I attend.

  • I feel that my training provider helps me perform better in my role as they set targets and help me focus on achieving them. I feel they also push me to doing well and regularly check how much I have achieved. this makes me perform better as having someone looking over your work makes sure your hard work doesn't go in-noticed.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • As I am not yet assigned to a shift there aren't many extra-curricular activities to get involved in at work as teams usually do things together with their shifts. however when on shift all of the shifts tend to partake in social activities together such as watching rugby games or go karting.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Hitachi to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I would recommend Hitachi to a friend because it is a great place to work. Everybody is friendly and we all help each other out. I also feel that the company is progressing well and has good long term plans for the future which is always important when looking for a long term career.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Hitachi?
  • In order to do well at Hitachi I feel that you need to be hard working and self motivated to do well. I would suggest when applying writing a good CV and practicing for the basic engineering test they give in their recruitment process. I would also encourage you to be polite and also have your reasons why you want to join the company prepared for your interview.
