  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role on a day to day basis involves working with professionals in the Mechanical and eletro-mechanical team. This includes the use of design work using CAD and different 3D designing tools to produce new products and to rework other products already in circulation. in addition, I create technical drawings and proceed with document management to ensure all changes are logged.

  • My programme is very engaging and has many different benefits. i enjoy aspects of my programme such as designing and using 3D CAD tools. • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The organisation and structure of my programme was very poor to begin with as no one knew what we were supposed to be doing. we were very much left to just figure things out. However it has picked up and have been given a structure to follow after we requested it.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Siemens to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • They are a great company to work for as they provide you with training and fully endorse the events. it has a nice community feel with certain areas of the company you are in. in addition, Siemens is a big name and will allow you to move much further into a career if you choose to do so.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Siemens?
  • Make sure you apply early as it can be occasionally difficult to get in. in addition, you have to remember to be proactive otherwise the job can become very repetitive and dull at times. you have to be willing to learn new skills every day and to be pushed by team members. dont expect to make any friends here tho.
