1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

8/10

My day changes from being on the shop floor and the till when the store gets busy. I have to work different deliveries depending on what shift I am on that being the bread, produce, short live, long life and ambient deliveries I also have to deal with customers and any questions or queries that they might have.

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

8/10

I have developed many skills since working at Aldi such as good teamwork to help get things done as quick and efficient as they can be. I’ve also gained great customer service skills by dealing with customers on a day to day basis. I’ve also improved my maths skills by being on the till and handling money.

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

8/10

I enjoy my programme of work a lot because I feel like it is set out in a good way which is monthly visits from my tutor and we go over the work that I have been set for that month. And there is a good team to help me learn new things to progress.

4. How well organised/structured is your programme?

8/10

I think my programme is structured in a good way because I am set different work for each month and then my tutor will visit and we will go over it. I think it’s also good how in the first year you learn how to be a store assistant before progressing onto learning how to be a manager

5. How much support do you receive from your employer?

8/10

I receive a lot of support from my employer because if I ever had a problem with anything at work I could always report it and I would get support straight away. And we often fill out questionnaires to give our feedback and if there is anything they can change to improve on

6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

8/10

I receive a lot of support from my training provider to help work towards my quailifications as they help me go through different topics that I have never learnt before and help me to understand different things, and if I was ever unsure about anything they Willis help me go through it again

7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

8/10

I feel that my qualification through my training provider helps me to perform better in my role because when I’m doing the work we have to go through where there has been scenarios that certain topics have to come in to play and how I have acted and responded in the correct way.

8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

8/10

Yes there are many extra curricular activities that are arranged at my work such as a lot of charity events that a lot of people get involved in like football tournaments, tough mudder, running races and many more to help raise money for the teenage cancer trust and any other charities.

9a. Would you recommend Aldi to a friend?

Yes

9b. Why?

I would recommend Aldi to a friend because I think it is a good place to work because they have a good team of store assistants and managers and they all work together to help get things done and there pay is also good compared to other places and supermarkets.

10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Aldi?

The tips I’d give to anyone thinking to apply at Aldi is to be willing to work hard because it’s very hands on from the start but it’s very rewarding. I’d also say to give good long detailed answers in the application to show that you want the job and to stand out
