1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
So as a sales advisor going into a senior role I have had to adapt myself to a more mature member of the team and to try and lead by example for other members of staff, my main role will be to sell and coach my other colleagues so they can be become a reliable sales advisor that gives amazing customer service at the same time as hitting sales targets.
2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
I have learnt many new skills since working with my Interserve coach, he has helped me blossom into a more mature person and has helped give me more confidence in myself when having to lead the team, I have learnt many new leadership styles and how to pin point different leadership styles for different individuals.
3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
I enjoy the program because I like learning, this and that fact my coach is amazing, when we are doing sessions he likes to make it easier for me to understand and will make it more personal by speaking about my work and what would I do in a situation, I have learnt a lot since doing this course and I'm even doing my Maths and English along side it.
4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
The structure is Great, I am given a list of what I need to do and how much I need to put into it also, it is all organised really well as it's organised around me and my work so that makes it easier for me to get the work done and still have the opportunity to learn.
5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
Everyone at work encourages me and gives me as much support as they possibly can, if it's a question I don't understand they will try to help me, if I need to practice some of the things I have learnt they will sit down with me so I can practice it with them.
6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
My trainer has given me all the support I could ask for, when ever I've needed advice on something I've called Steve up and has answered everything I've needed, he also got another colleague of his to help me with my Maths and English as well as I mentioned I've been struggling so he went out of his way to help me further.
7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
With everything that I am learning it's helping me in and out of work, I have become more mature, more reliable and have a far greater understanding on how things need to be done, this is helping me whilst I am leading the store on my own as I am producing great days within the store.
8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
Yes there is, I recently got to play at Southampton Football Stadium in a tournament called BT consumer Cup, I got to play at a professional stadium and keep fit with it, this is actually one of the best things I have ever done and I can not wait to do something like this again.
9a. Would you recommend EE to a friend?
BT/EE is by far the best company I have ever worked for, I had never had a job before this where I Enjoyed going to work, but since I've been with the company I have, I go to work with a smile on my face and it had taught me a lot about myself since that, I earn great money and get to meet new people every day.
10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to EE?
Be happy and open minded, having a great positive attitude will help you every step of the way and just enjoy what you do, the company is amazing to work for and the opportunities are Endless! How many companies can you actually say that about? I have great fun in my work environment and we also get the job done that we need to do.
