  • as a toolmaker apprentice i spend each day shadowing a skilled person learning different skills and techniques so i can rapair and maintain dies correctly

  • Crane driving, first aid training, confined space training. I've developed my communication skills, time management has improved also.

  • very much, i love coming into work its a great opportunity and future job

  • the programme is well structured

  • any problems anyone may have, BMW group supports them massivley no matter how big or small

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • our training provider supported us tremendously making sure we were happy while we were learning and took any concerns seriously

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • whilst studying at swindon college we learnt all the basic skills i.e turning and hand fitting techniques, these were further developed in work.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • as part of bmw group there is a mountain challenge organsied each year, organised withing the toolmaking apprentice's we have a 5 a side football team.

  • Yes

  • because it is an amazing opportunity for an apprenticeship that can take you anywhere in the world

  • make sure you present yourself correctly, make good first impressions, pay attention to the tasks within the interview stages
