1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Within BMW Group, I am a tool maker apprentice. My role includes learning tooling components work, fully disassmebling and reassembling tools to see how they work and if there are any faults with it, general maintenance and machining.

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Throughout the apprenticeship I have learnt a large number of skills such as electronics, turning, milling, hand fitting, mechanical thinking, mathematics in engineering, numerous types of welding, crane use, forklift driving and even more skills.

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the apprencticeship and all the opportunities it has brought me.

4. How well organised/structured is your programme?

The apprenticeship is well organised to an extent, at the start of each year everyone has a rough idea of where they will be working. However when it comes to moving around to different placements it can be a bit challenging due to plans changing for where everyone is working.

5. How much support do you receive from your employer?

I personally do not recieve support as i do not require it however i know if in need help that i can ask for it.

6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I personally do not receive help at the moment however i know if i require it i can always ask.

7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The qualification loosely relates to my work as a toolmaker however the parts i can transfer i do.
