  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It's very well structured however there have been breaks in my learning as the learning centre has been in the process of moving buildings. Also we have changed tutors half way through one of our courses as she left which was hard to get back on track with when we got a new one.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I feel like if i ever need any extra support for my work it is very easily accessible from my tutors. However there are circumstances whereby the work room can be very crowded and the tutors can sometimes find it hard to give a lot of help and there are so many people there.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • At the moment I believe some of the skills I have been learning may not benefit the role I will be completing in my job however if I ever wanted to change roles they will help me then. This has allowed me to gather knowledge of different areas so I will feel better about myself when I go into plant

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • The college I go to does not have any extra curricular activities. This is due to the size of the college and the lack of students that go there. There are opportunities within other students to set up activities such as football but that is down to ourselves and not the college

  • 9a. Would you recommend JLR to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • The job role I will be doing in work is enjoyable and the future wage is very high compared to other apprenticeships and skilled jobs. I also feel like it gives everyone an equal opportunity to have the chance to get onto this apprenticeship as gives you a lot of knowledge in the mechanical industry

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to JLR?
  • When applying always read the questions fully and give yourself enough time to fill in each section of the questions. If you feel like you are struggling to answer these questions take a step back and composure yourself. The questions are there to catch you out just to see what you can do.
