1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

As a maintenance engineer my role on a day-to-day basis is to maintain and solve problems that are come across within the production line of the press shop.

I have learnt many new skills from the highly skilled engineers and line controllers that have given their full support in passing on their knowledge.

I have enjoyed my apprenticeship programme very well and appreciate the help and support from colleagues within the programme.

The programme is well structured as it allows an individual to follow a process in order to gain the right knowledge and skills.

5. How much support do you receive from your employer?

I have received full support from when ever I require it.

6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The training provider did support individuals well.

7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I believe that their were some aspects of the training were put into place even though they did not require me to have them.

Yes there are extra-curricular activities available.

9a. Would you recommend JLR to a friend?

Yes

9b. Why?

The over all experience has been wonderful with constant support as well as having learnt so much about the machines and robots; coming up with ideas and bringing them to life. Yet there is still loads more to learn which can only be held with experience.

10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to JLR?

You need to be confident in what your saying and believe in yourself. Doing the right research will stand you in really good stead and to demonstrate that you are engaged with and genuinely interested in the job that you have applied for. You don't need to be an expert, but would at least have some knowledge about the company and engineering as a whole.
