  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • On a day to day basis I handle customer queries, place orders and advice customers on the best items to get with there budget and ensure there happy with there products. I also have to deal with a lot of objection handling for instance when customers get angry with you.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt lots of skills whilst being in the apprenticeship, things such as communicating, conversing, and general product knowledge. Also, I have developed better home skills for example how to work a washing machine and understand how everything works in a home and what you need for it to work.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • yes i did enjoy the programme the source was really helpful and also i got to meet lots of new people and was given lots of help so when i was struggling i had someone to go to everytime. I was also given extra english and maths to help me.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It was verry organised we had a trip to the source every month and every thing was planned verry well and it was really good. we had monthly probation reviews to let us know where we are and what we need to achieve and what we need to work on.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I received a lot of support from my employer they really helped me and showed me support throughout the apprenticeship i got lots of support from everyone i never didnt feel unsupported i get my one to one meeting with my manager and get regular team breifs to help me.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The source was very supportive they made sure everyone understood what we had to do and how we had to do it. They also made sure we was comfortable with what we was doing for example recording us talking together in groups and speaking out loud infront of an audiance.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel like it helps as it shows hard work that we had to do before getting the qualifications and also to get the qualifications we had to do a lot of writing up and recording us talking about our job role and explaining what we have to do in the job.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • They put on football matches for colleagues to go and watch and also take part in. They also host Christmas parties in venues in town for everyone at the end of the year. also for apprentices they have a kind of awards ceremony where they get certificates at a veue.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • it is good and some where to go if you want to progress and learn lots of new things you are given opertunities such as a pay rise different other roles in the company from carphone warehouse to dixons travel stores and airport stores aswell as currys and pc world stores.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Dixons Carphone?
  • i wouldnt know what advice to give to be honest. i would say to make yourself stand our a lot by showing your personalitiy and cracking on with it when you need to and buckle down when your on the job and just treat other people how you want to be treat.
