  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My current rotation is in pensions admin, so on a day-to-day basis I will be given tasks to update letters that are being sent out to members of the pensions schemes we are administrators for. I will also calculate their pension depending on what type of pension they decide to take.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learned a lot about presenting skills and communicating with others and communicating with the client was very important during my audit rotation. • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my programme as their is a chance to rotate around the business before I specialise, therefore giving me a chance to feel comfortable within my career choice. • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is well organised although rotations depend on business need so some placements within the areas of the business might not be available for you to rotate to when you would like. The programme structure is communicated clearly with us from the start so we are all aware the paths we can choose.

  • There is support from KPMG and your specific teams as they understand many of us have joined straight from school. • My training provider provides support in a variety of ways, from teachers in the class to online forums where we can submit questions remotely to be answered once the class teaching has finished. The training materials provided state the content clearly and there are a wide range of methods and resources available for us to learn from.

  • The qualification is mostly relevant if you're working in audit as you get more of a chance to put skills into practise and gain an understanding of the content you have learned. Although the qualification is helpful overall as it gives you an understanding of how businesses run generally.

  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
