  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • providing customer with the best possible customer service and offering them products they are eligable for. this involves taking basic calls right up to the most advance calls and being thyere for our customers to ensure they are recieving the best and most benefical service or product that best suits them.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • i have learnt many new skills throughout my time in HSBC and have been able to put these into place during my time on the phone. these involve the most basic skills and enquiries right up to the more advance skill set we may need for our more advance calls.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • i enjoy the programme, however i do feel sometimes it can be rather repetitive. i enjoy being set different tasks each time we complete a unit. these units are all indepdant study work but can sometimes be a bit repetitive and self explanatory. this can sometimes make the programme less enjoyable.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • very structured and organised. i understand what is required on a weekly basis. our trainer always gives us details notes and assessment plans each week and we know exactly what is expected of us and this can be evident from our module work we have already completed so far in our programme.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • i recieve a lot of support from my line manager and coaches that help throughout my time with the company. i really like the fact we recieve as much feedback and support from our line managers and i feel like this really impacts as a benefit to our learning and development.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • we recieve a lot of detailed support and feedback from our trainer. she is very friendly and approachable and is always avaliable if we need help or guidance and always their to ask if we have any questions and that is very much appreciated and helpful to my team and I.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • i overall feel very confident that my qualification helps me to perform better in my role as this has allowed me to take knowledge and information from my module work and this has allowed me then to put this knowledge in place during some of my most recent calls that i have taken.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • there are several different extra curricular activites to get involved in at in my work placed, there are social networking events to get involved in and this usually results in charity events and this also ensure team bonding with other teams within our department and gives us a chance to mingle with others who we may not be fimiliar with.

  • Yes

  • yes i would recommend HSBC to a friend as i think that they are a great company to work with and have great add ons that are given to you as perks of the job which is very beneficial, this also envolves the staff that work at HSBC who are always very welcoming and friendly.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to HSBC?
  • the tips and advice that i would give to others who are applying to HSBC would be to be confident and be prepared to work hard as it is a fast pace environment and you need to be confident enough to fulfil youself in the role and be prepard to be pushed in order to ensure that you are striving towards you goals and actions that are set by your line manager. -
