  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy the practicle side of the program because I have some initial training at a school and then I am set out to learn the job on the go while getting to help get people into service. It is not a stressful program but there is a lot of writing work

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I feel the programme is structured and organised very well as we have set dates to go to a classroom to complete our nvq work along side of doing practicle work outside. Everything is explained well to how we would go about our training and what is required of us.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Support received is normally generally good but recently we have had 3 different managers in a short amount of time so we have not had the support I think we need recently. We have a new manager now but he is a trainee manager and is always away doing courses

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The support we receive during our nvq for our qualification is really good as we have a assessor who is at every nvq session and helps with anything we need to make sure that we get the nvq done and to a high enough standard so we pass the course

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel the qualification does help a little bit in our role because it is all to do with the stuff that we do on a daily basis and we have to take a lot of pictures of the work we do to use as evidence which we can look back On

  • 9a. Would you recommend BT to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I would recomment a friend to openreach because overall the job is good you drive to different places rather than working on one place and get to meet new people. It is also a job for life as telecoms will always be a thing and it is only getting bigger

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BT?
  • Tips I would give to people applying would be to express yourself, don’t be shy and just give it your all. Show confidence and show that you like to do practicle work and that you are interested in the telecoms industry and that you enjoy anything to do with technology.
