  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • At the moment the business area I am in involves speaking with retailers about financial proposals they set up with their customers as well as activating those proposals once checking over the documents they send in. I will be moving to two other areas throughout my time as an apprentice here each area dealing with different products and people.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I feel like the apprenticeship work and the rotation is organised its just not communicated properly as it should be making it a little less structured when moving areas for both me and the team i'm going in. also the coaching from the company that the apprenticeship go through also doesn't communicate nearly enough as it should and sometimes even don't understand what is happening.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive the necessary support I need from my employer and they make sure that I always have what I need to both improve and to clarify any gaps in knowledge so that im not lost while in that area. both my employer and the team in my area support me with anything I need and go the extra step to make sure my well being both here and out of work is kept which I appreciate.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive enough support from my training provider to help me to understand what is needed to pass my qualification and that I have everything I need to do that although again communication and getting into contact when I do need something is a lot of the time a long process to get a response and put on the necessary websites to give me the best chance at passing.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I believe that the qualification helps to perform better as it gives me the extra information on each product we sell and the ins and outs of that product giving me a better understanding of what I am talking to the customer or retailer about. it also allows me to put in perspective what it is like and the effects of each one which helps to give better customer satisfaction which VWFS prides itself in.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • there are lots of activities throughout the business to get involved in whether that's available to the whole business or just the team sorting it out there is always something extra to do and get involved in. Social activities such as team meals happen quite a lot to help strengthen the team and to welcome new people so theres always something going on in your team to help you in.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Volkswagen Financial Services to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I would recommend this to a friend as in my opinion I believe that it is a great place to work for as there are many benefits from working here and so many opportunities to take. it also opens a lot of doors if you do want to go somewhere else which they do also help you with as they want to help you get the job you want a career in.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Volkswagen Financial Services?
  • just to make sure that you are comfortable with a customer facing job as you might be able to get used to it but if its not something your comfortable with it can get very stressful easily. Other than that the only advice is to make sure you know the role your going into and to learn a little bit about it otherwise it can be confusing to start with which will make the job seem more frustrating.
