  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role within BT is primarily with switch/transmission work, so electronics and computers. Each day is very different however as I can be fault finding on a radio system one day and building a new high tech router the next to be installed into our main exchange. A lot of my day involves traveling from site to site to complete tasks which come in every day. A lot of the tasks which I have to deal with are important timed tasked which need to be completed as so as possible in order to sort faults and give customers the best customer experience as possible with my company

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is well organised with a very well structured plan. I am told in plenty of time when and where my next training course will be with accurate times and date plus location details of the course. I also have a system for my course work which I can go onto at anytime to see how much of the course unit I have completed and due dates for courses as well. I also have a frame work excel sheet which gives me a good understanding of what courses I have that year and how they are to be completed ( on the job, course external or internal)
