  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme has great structure. I was made well aware of the things to expect during the apprenticeship before I was accepted. Once I came into my programme the next 4 years of my programme was made crystal clear to me. because of this, I know where all of my placements are within the company, and the time-scale of them all.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a great amount of support from my employer. Upon me starting my programme I was assigned a partner in the form of a 2nd year apprentice so they could show me around and answer any questions that I had. They also set up regular meetings with managers so that we can give feedback on what's going good (or bad) in my apprenticeship.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Our trainers have been fantastic in giving us a great grounding in the world of electrics and engineering. they are always willing to give help and to pass on their experiences within an engineering field. Furthermore, they do no always give us the answers straight, but give us small hints so that we may be allowed to work out problems ourselves and gain more from the experience as a result.

  • 9a. Would you recommend MBDA to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Mbda is a fantastic place to work and it respects it's apprentices and treats them as if they has worked in the company for years. They also spent a lot of time trying to not only further your knowledge of engineering, but also further you as a person in your life skills.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to MBDA?
  • Make sure you sell yourself on your application and make sure that your application form is the very best that it can be. Furthermore on your interview day it is important that you present yourself in the correct manor. Finally you must ensure that you get as many people to check your application for mistakes or things to add.
