To safeguard life and property. We get a call to go to a job to either a gas escape which is primary and have to go to it straight away and fix the leak or solve the problem. Also we get jobs to change meters and to check for safety.
I've learn a lot of new skill at my sort time here to fitting a meter, safety checks, putting a tightness test on, using a bascum, bar holing. developing my customer service skills, which I thought I was good at anyway but explaining yourself is very important to understand.
I enjoy this program because I'm learning something new everyday and I see myself progressing. Its a sense of achievement passing all my assessments and being able to go to anyone for help and know they will help you as much as they can makes you appreciate the program even more.
The program is organized/structured really well because we always know where we have to be. We are learning something new every time we come to college and we are doing it at a good pace for me. Also they give you a lot of time to complete your assignments.
As an employee I receive a lot of support with learning the job and the understanding how everything works. I haven't struggled with this job as yet because there's always someone I can talk to and someone that can help me. The support you receive in this company is very good.
I receive a lot of support for my qualification by getting things done such as my assignments and assessments. If I'm stuck on anything or struggling I know exactly who I can turn too and I'm not scared to ask for help because they support you no mater what.
My trainer provides me with confidence and knowledge on how to get the job done even if I'm struggling and finding hard to understand. My trainer is calm and easy to approached this makes coming to college a lot easier and fun because I know im going to learn.
