1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

10/10

My day to day role includes, helping with various jobs mainly including the preparation of tax returns and computations. And currently at my level doing a lot of basic reviews of others work before this is passed to a manager. I have also started on new work such as trust accounts.

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

10/10

I have learnt many new skills already. These include using many new softwares such as Nav, Caseware and Onesource. I also feel like my communication skills have developed vast amounts too. There's various training courses, many which I have already done and many more to come to develop new skills and this is one thing I really love about the apprenticeship.

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

10/10

I feel as though the programme was everything I expected and more prior to joining. I do really enjoy the programme. and would defiantly rate this a ten out of ten. I would recommend this to my family and friends and I feel like that speaks for itself and says alot.

4. How well organised/structured is your programme?

10/10

My programme is very well structured, it's very well organized with the training for the exams to the training for work on the job. They're all spaced out effectively so that I feel as though I have the best chance of taking every in and getting most out of it.

5. How much support do you receive from your employer?

10/10

I receive a lot of support from my employer, I know there's always someone available to talk to. From my buddy to help with any general problems to my career coach who helps more with the academic side, there's always someone to speak to about a specific problem no matter what it may be.

6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

7/10

Kaplan do offer a lot of support, and in exam times with the webex sessions which an online coach tutors you they always provide you with full details if you need to contact them outside the hours of the actual session n which is really helpful. The only downside is sometimes the materials for the exam arrive late.

7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

10/10

I do feel like my qualification helps me to perform better. As the exams and all the content we learn are relevant to my job role, so I often find myself using the skills i've been taught for my exams without even realising i'm doing this. From the practical skills to the communicative ones.

8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

9/10

We do have a social society, where often people hosts days out or trips to the theatre. We always make sure when people are leaving we have a social event. Or when we have new joiners often have a new joiners lunch which makes it really nice to get to know people more.

9a. Would you recommend PwC to a friend?

Yes

9b. Why?

PwC have made me feel very comfortable through all my time so far, and I have constantly felt like I have support at work and also outside of work if needed. And I feel that the training I am receiving is really setting me up for a good future with PwC.

10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?

Be confident, always be prepared and be willing to take on new opportunities as they arise and push yourself out of your comfort zone when needed. A Lot of people would really appreciate this opportunity so make sure if you do get the chance you put your all into it.
