  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • As a team member, on my day to day shifts I help keep the shop running. I serve at the tills and with customers, keep clean cups and trays flowing so that everyone can enjoy a in house experience, keep all the sugar stations clean and stocked up as well as helping my other colleagues who have other roles in the shop (barista and hot food)

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yeah working in Pret has actually made me grow as a person mentally and physically , I’m so confident working with customers. I enjoy being around new people and having a impact on others lives it is such a warming experience, I also have a lot more patience towards people

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Even though the work environment does get really busy sometimes and you feel like your feet could fall off you know it’s worth it with the experience that your getting and all of the opportunities that they give to us. Overall the company is fantastic I couldn’t slate it.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It’s very much organised the training company I’m with work well with my manager to assure that I’m on time and aware when I need to attend a’pret’aship days which normally locate in London. I also get along really well with my lifetime trainer she’s amazing!

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • As it is a very busy company I understand that it’s impossible to relay on support but it’s important for me to know that I’m an adult and I can do this, but my manager is always there to help,we have a group chat where we can always contact her or our supervisors

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My life time training visits me every month more or less to work with me and help my confidence for the upcoming assessments and tasks , she’s super friendly I could ask her anything relating to my apprenticeship which helps a lot with the pressure of getting ready to be assessed

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Well hospitality can be tricky but with support it’s a breeze I’ve learned how to be more patient and how to deal with difficult customers and situations, lifetime provide learning platforms that you can use to support your self at home or at work to there for keep you on track

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • We always have Pret parties, our area manager will organise where we can socially meet other people from other Pret stores with is fantastic way to meet and make new friends that understand you and can relate to work experiences with you it’s a great way of socialising outside of work

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Because of My experience of Pret I think it’s a amazing company that believe in the right things and also continuing to look for new ways to keep our customers happy and loyal to us , name another company that has opened a rising star program to help less fortunate people to make something of them selfs just as fair as any one else


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Pret?
  • Just be confident but yourself, if your bubbley person who is excited to learn new things by working with new people than it’s definitely for you , show how passionate you are about things and what makes you you ,not one of us employees are the same as another wich is why our shops are amazing
