  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • As a CTM, I am to work deliveries and tend to customers. I work on the till on some shifts and make sure that the shop flows. On a day to day basis I will work delivery or work the till.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I gave become much more confident while working in store, and improved my team player skills. Some other skills I have learnt is cash handling and leadership.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have enjoyed working in store, but the apprenticeship side of my work I have not. I feel like I have been messed around and I haven’t enjoyed doing them parts.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It is not very well organised, I have had 4 coaches while doing my apprenticeship. So I haven’t felt motivated, and I feel like it isn’t well organised.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • From my first manager I received some support, but with my new one I feel I have much more support from the Store Manager.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I haven’t received much, I think there was only one coach I’ve had that I saw more than once.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • In some areas I feel like my workbooks improve my role.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Co-op to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • The Co-op is a good company to work for, however I wouldn’t recommend the apprenticeship.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Co-op?
  • Make sure you are certain as to what your apprenticeship is aimed for and what you are going to learn.
