  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I work as a team member at kfc, I have been trained in all areas of the business , mainly I do middle of house where I prepare the burgers and prepare fries. Daily I clean my area, stock up for the day, and follow all orders accurate to ensure customers get there food correctly and in our 3 minute aim. I also do front of house where I pack the orders and present the food to the customer.

Doing this apprenticeship has helped me learn things during the course but also helped me in my work learning more because of becoming full time.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Yes has been a great experience learning new things. I enjoyed the feeling of getting a qualification out of this I believe it is easier than going to college but delivers the same things. I enjoyed meeting with my trainer learning all these new things. It is a very good program.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I had three different tutors during the apprenticeship, the last tutor I had was very organised explained the program very well and was much better after that. Before that it wasn’t the best. There was plans and time lines for everything which was really good, when explained probably works really well.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I’ve had two managers since this program my first manager was supporting me when necessary asking me about it, my second manager wasn’t that involved. When necessary my first manager turned up to all the meetings to discuss my progress and what I do next. I believe that managers should be more involved with this work as it would really support the person completing this course.
