  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt many new skills and developed existing skills that I will continue to use after i have finished my apprenticeship and gained my qualfication. • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy knowing that i will qualified and that having the qualification on my CV and the experience that i have gained from working here will be extremely beneficial when looking for work elsewhere. On the other hand there are times when the job can become very demanding and stressful as although you are an apprentice you still have a job to do.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It isnt very structured at all. I have been given my NVQ work 6 months too late and I am having to try and complete a years worth of work and do an exam in less than 6 months. I believe more needs to be done and things need to be improved to help future apprentices

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I don't receive much support as my employers and managers are too busy but when they arent busy they can be really supporive and give help where needed. I think there should be regular one to ones with managers and also the trainers/tutors to help with time management and managing work load.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Not much support is given but i believe that's due to there being a lot of apprentices and not many trainers rather than it being down to the tutor. I think there should be more training days to help you gain your qualification rather than being left to get on with it.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It has helped me with many day to day jobs and tasks. I can communicate a lot better, i have developed many useful and necessary skills but my qualification on the other hand doesnt relate very well to my specific role. This can make it difficult when having to pick targets and objectives each year.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Rarely are there any events that we are all invited to but sometime there are events that are organised by apprentices themselves. This is great for us all to network. I think more can be done to improve this and think it would be beneficial to lunch and meet with all new starters
