  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I think RBS are incredibly supportive and this makes it more enjoyable however BPP don't seem to have a clue what is going on! it took nearly 5 months to receive my chartered bankers revision book, by the time it was received I should have finished reading it however none of the exam dates or timescales were amended due to their delay.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • terribly by BPP, RBS do the best they can to support me despite that

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive an incredible amount of support from my employer with both my actual apprenticeship work, general daily role and my personal life. I would recommend my employer to anyone and truly believe I am lucky to work here.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I speak to someone once a month for roughly half an hour and had a webinar once a week with a solicitor who doesn't actually work for the college.... there were 6 webinars and now all I have is 1 call per month which I think is appalling.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • 6/10

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are so many things to get involved in at RBS! I'm currently helping to set something up for mental health week, we volunteer frequently in the local community and we will also be attending the Pride parade in support of the LGBT community which I'm an avid supporter of.

  • 9a. Would you recommend NatWest to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Because they are a fantastic employer, I feel valued as a staff member and I'm supported with anything that I need support with. My personal issues are supported and accommodated. I've suffered with my mental health for a long time and have never known an employer to be so understanding. The culture is fantastic and very customer focused but also realises that staff wellbeing drives good service and as such both are looked after incredibly well.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NatWest?
  • To be themselves and ensure that their values shine through as this is what matters. Drive is recognised by the management as is ambition so make sure rather than saying what you think the interviewer wants to hear, say what you believe and your passion will shine through.
