  • General running of the business. Cash handling, customer satisfaction as well as customer complaints, making sure we hit every target as a team and offering any on the spot training to help assist team in progression. A consistent show of support and control with a hint of being a manager not only the customers feel relaxed around but the team feeling like they are in a family enviroment

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I am currently learning how to process the business in Greene kings eyes so I can be the general manager they are looking for after my training. I have been able to develop on my already gained skills during my time in hospitality and build on the many learning curves.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The extent of my enjoyment is solely down to the assessors I have been dealing with, they have made learning the new systems and developing my skills a great deal of fun and informative at the same time, i think I enjoy the programme as much as I enjoy working in hospitality

  • Extremely well organised with plenty of communication to keep the ball rolling and never feeling like there is a wrong question to ask. Work schedule dates being made well in advance and constant support with anything I am working on at the time. The only way it could be more organised is if I was more organised

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Greene King?
  • Understand which category you are entering and understand the amount of work you are going to have piled on. It is a hard job but if you have the confidence and passion you will do just fine
