  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy the programme. It makes you to a look at yourself and see your strong and weak points, highlights clearly the areas you need to develope. I prefer doing the studying for the CBI, I find that that is improving my banking knowledge the most. I work well with book studying

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Really well structured, i am getting my allotted 20%, and have the felexibilty to do this at home or come into the branch. I have monthly 1-2-1’s with my coach dan, and these are always arranged a month in advance. The webinars are useful to give an insight into the next mission

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Dan makes himself available at any time, i can phone him if it is something more urgent, or send him an email with a query. The monthly 1-2-1’s are well structured, and he always makes sure that i am not feeling under too much pressure, and reiterates at BPP have confidential support should i need it.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I think it compliments it very nicely, most of the missions that we are completing go hand in hand with what i do everyday. I think that the chartered banker side of it greatly increases my general banking knowledge. I can see this also helping with my career progression in the future

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • No we don’t have an extra curricular activities at work, we are a small team in a rural area. We have our team night out at Christmas, and try to also have a night out during the summer. We often go out for dinner if someone is leave or maternity etc. The rest of the team would go out more often than me, but i am unable to due to family commitments

  • 9a. Would you recommend NatWest to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Good training and support, i moved from another bank, and the salary and benefits package was better. RBS is trying to move the bank forward after the negativity around it the last 10 years, and its exciting to be part of that. Our product offering is good, and getting better!

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NatWest?
  • Be aware of the royal banks values and visions for the future. Have a look at what we offer for customers. Link what attracts you to the role, to your strengths, and how you think you can succeed in the role. Think of scenarios where you have helped people, and ones of team work
