  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I've definitely developed my interpersonal skills. These are very important in the role I am currently in and being outside of my comfort zone has definitely helped me in a positive way. I've also been able to develop my hands on skills in the development area as well which has been super helpful.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I find it a very good programme in terms of the opportunities I have been afforded in the business especially in my programme role as I was able to have a view of all the interesting projects that were taking place and I was able to get involved in them. Also within BT there are several extra programmes or opportunities such as volunteering or extra perks from the business, which are beneficial to me and help to enjoy the programme.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • I am unsure if there is any extra curricular activities at my work. I do know that we are able to get discounts on selected days out, spas, gym memberships, cinemas, restaurant meals and things like that. I do think it would be great to have a football team at my work place.

  • 9a. Would you recommend BT to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I feel BT is a great company to work for as they are a globally known company. The company looks after its employees for example we get so many different types of clothing which help us at work whether it be a wet, cold or hot day. Also there are many benefits of working for BT.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BT?
  • I would say to others that are applying to BT to first research the company and prepare for the application stages through mock interviews. BT attracts a lot of applicants and only those that prove they are reliable and have initiative will be considered. Furthermore, prepare real life examples of how you have proved all the skills that the employer will be looking for.
